Right now, we have full schedules: http://www.fairfaxcounty.gov/connector/pdf/401.pdf (that include timetables and maps) as well as just timetables: http://www.fairfaxcounty.gov/connector/pdf/401wd.pdf online. Is there a preference as to whether we keep both, or simply go with full schedules?
Fairfax Connector Web Redesign
We are currently in the process of redesigning the Fairfax Connector website and want to know your thoughts!
Some questions to answer: What works well on the existing site? What do you want on the site that is not there now? What is on the site now that you think could be removed? What info should be shown on a route page? How should routes be organized? And any others you can think of.
Two things we already know: You want real-time technology and you want us on Google Transit. We are currently in the contract process to acquire real-time technology, and where we cannot utilize Google Transit, we are planning to embed our route maps using a Google base map.

Should we keep both or is there one that is preferred over the other?
The Nextbus app allows users to see when the next bus is coming and is on Fairfax CUE buses and on Metro buses. I feel that if Nextbus was on Fairfax connector buses, then it would allow riders to better plan their commutes and eliminate long waits due to buses not bein on time or not knowing when the next bus will be at their specific stop
The WMATA Route Planner is great but there's no similar option for FFX buses. A mobile-friendly version would help make taking the bus around the county far easier!
Please update your schedules on line before the route begins it's change. There seems to be a lack of communication between what's really going on and the website.Also there has to be a way to list late buses. Make the driver call in if they are going to be more than ten minutes late and post a list of these routes.
Organize routes by areas of the county, instead of by North, South and West (which corresponds to the garage/division).
Embed route maps in Google Map format, instead of using jpg images.
