Put Nextbus in Fairfax connector buses

The Nextbus app allows users to see when the next bus is coming and is on Fairfax CUE buses and on Metro buses. I feel that if Nextbus was on Fairfax connector buses, then it would allow riders to better plan their commutes and eliminate long waits due to buses not bein on time or not knowing when the next bus will be at their specific stop

Integrate with or replicate WMATA Route Planner

The WMATA Route Planner is great but there's no similar option for FFX buses. A mobile-friendly version would help make taking the bus around the county far easier!

Schedules

Please update your schedules on line before the route begins it's change. There seems to be a lack of communication between what's really going on and the website. Also there has to be a way to list late buses. Make the driver call in if they are going to be more than ten minutes late and post a list of these routes.

Adopt and Implement the County Bicycle Master Plan

The hard work has been done in preparing this. All we need is the approval and commitment to implementation. Establish infrastructure that enables people to feel safe enough to use their bikes for those over 50% of trips that are within 3 miles of their home.

Commuter Bus from Fairfax to Montgomery County

Would like to see a commuter bus similar to LC Transit for Loudoun County that transits between FFX County and Silver Spring CBD and FFX and MoCo Tech Corridor. Metro is not the best option for those of us commuting to these areas and offering a commuting bus would eliminate a lot of cars crossing the American Legion Bridge.

Timetables and/or full schedules?

Right now, we have full schedules: http://www.fairfaxcounty.gov/connector/pdf/401.pdf (that include timetables and maps) as well as just timetables: http://www.fairfaxcounty.gov/connector/pdf/401wd.pdf online. Is there a preference as to whether we keep both, or simply go with full schedules?

Smart Trip card use on VRE

It would be nice if you could use your Smart Trip Card on the VRE. All the Bus systems and the Metro Rail accept this card and I think it would even be a good marketing idea for the VRE.As the VRE trains head toward DC,they stop at Metro Stations and other Bus transfer points. The easier you make it for people to use mass/public transportation, the more likely they will.I remember being on the very first VRE from Manassas ...more »

Better Lighting at Bus Stops for Safety

I catch the bus late at night in Reston. Reston is not a great believer in street lighting. I catch the bus at Reston Hospital and the stops are pitch black at night. Allways afraid that the driver will miss me. I had the light on my cellphone lit like the driver suggested, I was right next to the sign and the driver still went right by me. The side street are totally dark at night from trees. Sometimes you have ...more »
